The Municipality of Temerin has opened the tender for the contractor for the construction of a facility for the treatment of the well water from the “Staro Djurdjevo” spring in this municipality.

The job, according to the tendering documentation, has been estimated at RSD 1.37 billion.

The deadline for the execution of the works cannot be longer than 720 calendar days, counting from the date of the possession of the site.

The deadline for the application for taking part in the tender is March 30, and more details about the ad documentation can be found HERE.

Let us remind that, in August last year, the Municipality of Temerin put up for public view the Urban Project for the construction of a water factory on the “Staro Djurdjevo” spring site. According to the document, said spring is located on agricultural land, southeast of Temerin, and the total area of the space is around 32 ha.

The complex of the water treatment facility currently consists of a smaller facility where the water is disinfected and two wells. The boring of another well is planned, as is the construction of a new water treatment facility, which will get water from a total of the eight planned and existing wells.

The director of the Capital Investment Administration of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Milos Maletic, said while signing the agreement on the transfer of the funds for the financing of the project “Construction of a Facility for the Treatment of Well Water from the Staro Djurdjevo Spring in Temerin” in November last year that the effects of the construction of that water factory would be felt by over 30,000 residents of the Municipality of Temerin and that the capacity would be increased from 35 l/s to 130 l/s.

In the settlements of the Municipality of Temerin, there is a constant occurrence of a higher than allowed arsenic and ammonia content, so the use of drinking water from the water network is banned in the territory of the whole municipality.
