The realization of the Krivaca wind farm project in the municipality of Golubac is nearing completion. The wind farm should have installed power of around 103 megawatts in the final stage, and the first wind generators should be put into commission in late 2017.

The project is being realized by Ivicom Energy Zagubica, owned by Austria's Ivicom Holding GmbH. The complex will spread over the territories of the municipalities of Golubac, Kucevo and Veliko Gradiste. As they say at Ivicom Energy, putting the Krivaca wind farm into commission is expected to take place in November 2017. The company started measuring the wind potential in locations in Golubac and Kucevo back in 2009. The results showed that the energy potential could be used, the preparation of the conceptual design followed, and the energy permit by the relevant ministry was acquired in June 2015. The detailed regulation plan of the Krivaca wind farm area was prepared by Arhiplan from Arandjelovac, whereas the Kragujevac-based company ECOLogica Urbo was in charge of preparing the environmental impact study. The works will be carried out in two stages.

The project envisions the reconstruction of around 20 kilometers of existing roads and the construction of around 21 kilometers of new ones. Electricity will be distributed through the new Krivaca Substations, to be connected to Veliko Gradiste and Neresnica substations, for which purpose two 110 kV power lines will be built. The wind generators will be located in the hills in the municipalities of Golubac and Kucevo – Veliko Cerje, Golo Brdo, Malo Cerje, Veliki Klokocar, as well as Cuka, Tilva, Debelo Brdo and Krivacka Tilva (southern part of the location). Local contractors will be employed, and the local populace will be in charge of maintenance of the wind farm.
