Contest for Procurement of Minibuses for Rural Areas Opens – RSD 120 Million Meant for Transport of Village Residents

The Ministry for Rural Welfare has opened the contest for the awarding of grants for the purchase of minibuses for the purposes of the transport of residents of rural areas in the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Milan Krkobabic stated that RSD 120 million had been set aside for the purpose.

The realization of this contest, he pointed out, solves the basic needs for the transport of village residents, whereby the quality of life in rural areas will increase, and the connectedness and the meeting of administrative, education and medical needs will improve.

He specified that the program entailed the awarding of grants for the purchase of minibuses which are to be used exclusively for the needs of the transport of rural populace from one village to another or from a village to an urban/municipal center.

Applications can be made by local self-government units from anywhere in Serbia, and the maximum amount for this purpose per application is RSD 7 million.

The final application deadline is September 3.
