The City of Sremska Mitrovica has put the material for the preparation of the detailed regulation plan of the solar park Nocaj 1 and Nocaj 2, with a power of 75 MW, in the cadaster municipalities of Nocaj and Salas Nocajski, up for early public inspection.

The document was prepared by the PE Urbanizam Sremska Mitrovica, and the investor in the preparation of the planning document is DNP – inzenjering doo from Novi Sad, on behalf of the actual investor in the construction of the solar park, L.O.I.360 STRATEGY AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT doo Beograd.

The majority owner of the investor is the eponymous company from Israel, according to the data of the Business Registers Agency.

According to the plan, the solar park complex, consisting of the solar power plants Nocaj 1 and Nocaj 2, with a total power of 75 MW, is planned in the village areas of the settlements Nocaj and Salas Nocajski, on around 320.49 ha, across from the industrial zone Istok (“East”) in Sremska Mitrovica.

The solar park will be of the agri-solar type – the solar panels will be installed on agricultural land.

– Farming cultures will be grown beneath the solar panels, such as are compatible to the type of the solar panels and the usage rate of the land will thereby be increased. In the same area, thanks to the solar energy, two products will be produced – electrical energy in solar panels and farming cultures – the plan says.

It is added that certain types of fruit do not require direct sunlight, so there are greater yields in the shadow of solar panels.

In addition to that, they thereby form a shadow for soil workers in the summer, making for a more pleasant and safer working environment.

Also, it is possible to graze cattle beneath the solar panels.

The plan is available for public inspection until November 16.
