Pinki Garage by End-Year, Construction in Skerliceva Street to Start Immediately Afterwards – Works in Vlajkoviceva Street to Start in Seven Days

By the end of this calendar year, the plaza in front of the Pinki Hall should finally be rearranged, and parallel beneath it should be a functional garage which is necessary for this part of the city, with 150 parking spaces on over 5,000 m2, announced the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic.

The mayor announced that, practically as the construction of that garage finished, the construction of the garage in Skerliceva Street with 368 parking spaces would begin.

– In the next seven days, the construction of the underground garage in Vlajkoviceva Street, done in cooperation with our Chinese partners, is to begin as well. The capacity of this garage is 284 parking spaces. The garage in Sonje Marinkovic Street in Zemun, with around 300 spaces, is also in the preparatory phase – announced Sapic, as reported by Beoinfo.

The director of the PUE “Parking servis”, Andrija Cupkovic, pointed out that, regarding the construction of the underground garage in Skerliceva Street, the location requirements were expected to be obtained within the coming 15-20 days. The project is also in the final phase, and the obtaining of the construction permit is expected in the next several months.

Sapic also said that the obtaining of new locations for future garages was in progress and that there would be more than ten of them. He added that the financing model was being discussed with representatives of the Government of Serbia.

– We have moved parking from a utility to a commercial activity. Therefore, I am inviting people to consider investing in this field, because the demand will keep increasing. I believe that it will be good for both those who invest and for the City of Belgrade, which will get an additional number of parking spaces – Sapic emphasized.
