Construction project of the FLU campus confirmed - Business apartments, gallery and outdoor sculptures (PHOTO)

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has confirmed the urban project for the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FLU) campus in Belgrade.

As eKapija already wrote, Bureau Cube Partners, on behalf of the investor, the United Nations Development Programme, has created an urban project for the reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities of the FLU in Savski Venac.

The 10,572 m2 parcel at the corner of Mila Milunovica, Zupana Caslava and Vojvode Putnika Blvd., and the existing three buildings will retain their purpose, with reconstruction and eventual connection by a footbridge - painting studio, administration and maintenance of classes, depot and graphics department.

Within the future complex, the plan calls for a new multi-purpose facility, consisting of a business-residential part (business apartments) of a closed type, intended for the official organization of the Faculty, a workshop for the preparation and processing of graphic plates, a depot for the FLU graphic and painting collection, and a gallery.

An underground garage will also be built within the facility.

A space for open air statue exhibits is also planned.
