Transfera: Great achievements in the first 10 years of business, even bigger goals for the next decade

From vision and ambitious plans to the position of one of the largest and fastest growing logistics companies in Serbia and the region - that`s the path Transfera took in ten years of business. And 2023, the year of jubilee, proceeds in the spirit of great achievements, to which the achieved results speak best - growth of over 40% and approximately EUR 100 million in revenue in 2022, 430 employees, 22 branches throughout Serbia and company representatives in the People`s Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as plans for further business expansion.

One of the most ambitious business ventures in 2022 is the construction of the first logistics center (TLC 1), part of a wider project to create a Transfer Logistics Park (TLP) in the industrial zone in Novi Banovci, close to Belgrade. In just nine months, starting from June 2021, the construction of this important project (TLC1), which covers a total area of 53,000 m², while the area of the building itself is 30,000 m², was completed, making it one of the largest buildings of its kind in Serbia and the region.

The Transfera logistics center is located 30 km from Belgrade and 20 km north of Belgrade Airport, in the immediate vicinity of the E-75 highway, that is why it represents an ideal location for the implementation of all types of transport.

TLC1 is adapted to the highest FM global standards and equipped with the most sophisticated technology for managing warehouse operations, the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and the use of renewable energy sources is set as one of the priorities. The total surface area of the terminal is fully controlled by the use of software solutions Yard management system (YMS) and Dock management system (DMS).

In addition, in order to modernize and simplify processes within a large system such as Transfera, during the previous year optimization and merging of customer support software (CS) and transport organization (TMS) into a single solution was carried out, whose architecture covers all operations and guarantees maximum information security - Transport management system (TMS).

In addition to modern technologies and software solutions, a modern working environment and high functionality of the workspace ensure greater employee satisfaction; precisely for this reason, more than 3,000 m² of office space has been refined with accompanying rest rooms, such as a restaurant and cafe.

The mentioned results, new projects and technological innovations are only part of the big goals that will mark the era of Transfera`s business in the next ten years. For the upcoming period, the expansion of storage capacities, the continuation of the construction of the Transfer logistics park, the establishment of new collaborations and the expansion of operations are planned, which will strengthen the leadership position in the market of the region, but also beyond.
