That is one year later compared to the initial deadline for the completion of the works.
Previously, in mid-September 2023, the deadline was extended from 30 to 33 months.
The need for additional works has been cited as the reason for the most recent extension of the deadline.
– Due to the Project Task separate and the changes made to the approval design, the contractor is unable to complete the works as defined in the contract – it is said in the amendments to the agreement, published on the Public Procurement Procedures Portal.
Before these two changes, that is, extensions of the deadline for the execution of the works, in mid-2023, the agreement was also changed, whereby the price of the works was increased by RSD 248.6 million.
The initial value of the job was agreed at RSD 1,740,255,047, and after the price change, it grew to RSD 1,988,897,637. The estimated value of the public procurement procedure, when it was launched, was RSD 1,566,075,000.
The contractor is a consortium of companies headed by Jadran doo from Belgrade.
The border crossing is to be reconstructed and the number of traffic lanes is to be expanded from 16 to 24, and in addition to the works on the terminal and the entrance and exit from the country, the project also encompasses works on the access part of the highway.
