The EU Delegation to Serbia has announced the tenders for the construction of all three sections of the Belgrade-Nis fast railroad.

In the prior notice on the construction of the section from Belgrade (Resnik) to Velika Plana, it was announced that the tender for the job would be published on July 1. The opening of the tender for the next section, from Velika Plana to Paracin, which eKapija has already announced, is expected for the same date.

The tender for the construction of the third section, from Paracin to Trupale (excluding the Stalac-Djunis section) is expected for May 24.

The Belgrade-Nis railroad for speeds of up to 200 km/h will be 230 kilometers long, and the total construction costs are estimated at EUR 2.8 billion.

Serbia intends to finance the project from several sources, including the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and EU grants secured through the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).

As announced earlier, the construction of the fast railroad will last until 2028.
