The Commercial Court in Varazdin opened the bankruptcy proceedings in Varteks on Friday and appointed Tomislav Djuricin as the bankruptcy supervisor. The court also scheduled, for October 8, the hearing where the claims of the creditors would be examined and the further procedure decided on.

The court decision invites creditors with separate satisfaction rights and creditors with exclusion rights to notify the bankruptcy supervisor within 60 days of the legal basis of their rights and the parts of the property of Varteks to which their rights pertain.

The Land Registry Department of the Municipal Court in Varazdin has been ordered to enter the annotations of the opening of the bankruptcy proceedings in the land registry for the real estate of Varteks – industrial buildings, warehouses, yards, land, office spaces and apartments in Varazdin, Gornji Kucan, Biskupac and Tresnjevka in Zagreb.

In addition to that, the courts in Belgrade have been ordered to annotate the opening of bankruptcy proceedings over the apartment in Kneza Mihaila Street in the center of Belgrade and the family residential building in Zemun, and the courts in Sid, Vranje and Priboj have been order the same for the retail businesses and spaces in those cities.

The court has also ordered the annotation of the opening of the bankruptcy proceedings for the real estate in Bosnia and Herzegovina – buildings, houses and office spaces in Travnik and Novi Travnik.

– These are bankruptcy proceedings over the company-debtor which is a big entrepreneur in the sense of accountancy regulations and which has numerous pieces of property of considerable property value. The bankruptcy debtor is the owner of numerous pieces of immovable and movable property and has numerous workers employed. Due to its business relations, it is to be expected for it to have a large number of creditors, where the bankruptcy debtor will have to work on doing an inventory of the numerous pieces of property and on examining a large number of the creditors’ claims – says the decision made by the judge Hugo Vedemejer.

The decision emphasizes that Tomislav Djuricin has been appointed bankruptcy supervisor because “he has shown great expertise, conscientiousness and precision in performing his duty in other bankruptcy proceedings with this bankruptcy judge,” reports Poslovni.hr.
