The mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic, talked to the representatives of the German company WEG Gear Sistems GmbH about their intention to open a production facility in that city.
This company, which specializes in the production of gearboxes, couplings and brakes, intends to open a production facility for WG50 automotive and industrial transmissions.
WEG Gear Sistems GmbH is a renowned manufacturer of gearboxes, couplings and brakes. Headquartered in Hattingen, Germany, the company serves a variety of industries, including renewable energy, agriculture and industrial automation. WEG's gear range includes worm gears, bevel gears and planetary gears, among others.
- The company's representatives presented a plan to invest EUR 30 million, out of which EUR 20 million will be earmarked for equipment and to employ 200 workers, among them 40 to 50 engineers, after buckling down in the next five years - according to the official city website.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Leskovac companies and the director of WEG Gear Systems Bruno Mauro Burdzaki.
