EPS CEO emphasized the importance of PSHPP Bistrica construction project enabling the safety in the further development of renewable energy sources.
– We are developing 1GW solar power plants with a strategic partner and we are working on improving the production in the existing capacities in order to provide energy security and system stability – said Zivkovic.
– The revitalization of hydropower plants has been completed, and we expect the complete revitalization of Bajina Basta PSHPP to be completed next year. We will ensure safe and secure operation of 80% of our hydro capacities, in the next 30 to 35 years, and electricity supply to the citizens of Serbia. In parallel, the revitalization of thermal power plants, in the next two years, will ensure that 75% of our thermal capacities will be able to generate electricity in the next 10 to 15 years, until new revitalizations – EPS says in its press release.
