Training Center for retraining and dual education to be built near High School of Electrical Engineering “Nikola Tesla” in Nis

Nis will get a Training Center near the High School of Electrical Engineering “Nikola Tesla” in Nis. Violeta Tesla of the Office for Local Economic Development of Nis said that the project would be financed by the state through the Office for Dual Education. However, it is not yet known when the works are to begin.

The Training Center, which will be meant for school students, but also employed people and the elderly, will cost the state nearly three million dinars. The Government of Serbia will invest that money in the construction and full equipping, and the City of Nis will have the infrastructure built for the needs of the facility.

– We will get a Training Center which will feature plenty of workshops and laboratories and plenty of possibilities for our children to learn about robotics and mechatronics. It will also be a place of the gathering of business people, where they will be able to find their future staff, and our older fellow citizens who already work at other place will be able to retrain themselves in one such Training Center – said Violeta Tesla.

A three-sided agreement will soon be signed between the High School of Electrical Engineering “Nikola Tesla”, the Office for Dual Education and the City of Nis. That’s when the date of the beginning of the construction will be known as well.

The City of Nis will set aside RSD 30 million for the missing infrastructure, and according to the first estimates, the Government of Serbia participates with around RSD 2.8 million.

At the moment, there are eight schools in Nis in the dual education system.
