Accompanying accommodation facilities within the EXPO 2027 complex, as eKapija already wrote, will turn into a residential complex once the world exhibition has ended.
The company SPV Galovica 1, one of the 6 companies established for the construction of Expo 2027 facilities, announced a tender a month ago for the design of a residential complex, for which a consortium of 6 companies have been awarded the job.
As stated in the tender, the residential complex will cover 160,000 m2, and multi-family residential buildings with business premises are planned on parts of cadastral plots 4721/1, 4721/2, 4721/4, 4721/5, 4756/5, 4721/ 7 and 4756/1, of the cadastral muicipality Surčin, on an area of about 91,978m².
Interestingly, the lots planned for construction are mostly located near Dobanovci, more precisely just above the Dobanovici reserve, close to the hunting ground and the so-called "new state mansion" heavily damaged during the 1999 NATO bombing, whereas one lot is located in Boljevci.
By inspecting the plots in the cadastre, one can already see the routes of the streets in and around the future residential complex. This practically means that the entire Expo 2027 complex will spread much wider than announced - all around the future National Stadium.

Namely, the construction of the Singidunum mega-complex on 2.5 million m2 is planned to the northeast of the Surcin community, which according to the idea of the investor, the company Singidunum building, will have an economic park for advanced technologies, 2,800 apartments, schools, kindergartens...
The draft plan for the general regulation of rail systems in Belgrade with elements of the detailed development of the railroad from Zemunsko polje to the Sava River - Stage 1 - section Zemunsko polje - National Stadium, envisages that the route will pass through this future complex.
Also, according to the Draft Spatial Plan of Serbia from 2021 to 2035, the construction of an international airport is planned near Dobanovci, more precisely 10 km west of the Nikola Tesla Airport, 24 km from Belgrade in the immediate vicinity of the E70 highway on the stretch Grmovac - Dobanovci - Dec.
According to that document, the airport complex should cover an area of around 1,100 ha, with three runways, two passenger terminals, two cargo terminals, a logistics and free customs zone, modern navigation equipment, light marking system and the Airport Code 4F.
With two large residential and business complexes, with 1,500 apartments for 4,500 residents planned as part of the Expo residential complex and another 7,900 as planned in Singidunum, Dobanovci will almost triple its current number of residents (about 7,700), and if the future airport is actually built, it will virtually become a city in itself.
