Local Startup Tenderly Listed Among Top 100 Web3 Startups to Follow
The global platform Dealroom has placed the Serbian startup Tenderly on its list of the Top 100 startups to follow in the field of Web3 technologies, based on its Dealroom Signal – the algorithm that this international startup database developed in order to help investors and startups.
Placing in the Top 100 is that much more significant considering that, in the Web3 category, Dealroom’s database features as many as 3,896 startups, and it covers 70 startup ecosystems, including the Serbian one since February this year.
Tenderly has been on the investors’ map for a long time now – so far, according to Dealroom’s data, they have collected USD 58.6 million within the series A and B, which means that the company is in the phase of accelerated development.
The local company, whose seat is in New Belgrade, was registered in 2019 and is fully owned by another company – Tenderly Technologies, which is registered in the U.S.A.
The four founders – Andrej Bencic, Bogdan Habic, Miljan Tekic and Nebojsa Urosevic have developed an end-to-end platform meant for users who want to build innovative blockchain products.
By mid-2021, Tenderly had attracted a seed investment of USD 3.3 million, in a financing round headed by the VC fund Point Nine Capital, and then, in the series A, which followed soon after, it got USD 15.3 million from a group of investors headed by Accel, a fund which, in its time, was among the first to invest in Facebook or Spotify. Then, in March 2022, the series B of investing followed, in which they attracted as much as USD 40 million from the “old” investors, Accel and Point Nine, but also from another eight investors.
Visibility on Dealroom is quite a new thing for the Serbian startup ecosystem, whose value is estimated at around USD 1 billion. Our companies were included on this global map in February this year, and the map currently features 350 startups with the Serbian “citizenship”.
– It is our great pleasure to support the growth and visibility of the Serbian ecosystem on the Dealroom platform. Thanks to the successful cooperation with the Digital Serbia Initiative and with the support of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations of the Republic of Serbia, this platform is a unique solution for highlighting the most promising sectors in the startup ecosystem, together with the key technological players who contribute to it – Matthieu Demolin, Head of Ecosystems at Dealroom, said at the time.
