First facility in Serbia to use waste for energy production to open in Vinca

The company Beo Cista Energija has announced that, on November 12, in Vinca, it will open the first facility in Serbia to use waste for the production of energy.

That power plant, which will run on municipal waste, will serve for responsible waste management, its proper use and improving the state of the living environment.

The company Beo Cista Energija said that “green electrical and heating energy,” obtained by incinerating up to 340,000 tons of waste a year at that facility, would secure electricity for 5% of the households in Belgrade and heating energy for 10% of the households.
