Company from Gadzin Han employs workers from Senegal and Russia, expecting Nepalese too

The salaries of the employees in the company for production of utility equipment Resor in Gadzin Han are higher than average in Serbia, but even so, the company has a problem with a lack of production workers, due to which in the past years they have employed two each from Senegal and Russia, and next month they expect five employees to come from Nepal.

The owner of Resor, Branislav Mihajlovic, said for the Beta news agency that they would employ a welder, a locksmith, a car painter, a car electrician and a hydraulics worker from Nepal.

– I am in favor of employing people from our country, but there are not enough production workers here. We have obligations under contracts that we have to meet and that is why we are forced to employ foreign workers – explained Mihajlovic.

He said that, for several year, he had been trying to motivate young people from the municipality of Gadzin Han to educate themselves for production professions, but added that the interest was low.

According to him, Resor is not the only company which has a problem with employing production workers. The other companies in the metalworking sector also have the same problem.

The workers from Senegal and Russia told Beta that they were satisfied with working at Resor, as they had free accommodation and one cooked meal a day, along with the salary.
