As a long-term investor in the market of the Republic of Serbia, CPI Property Group invests in projects that not only contribute to the development of the local community, but also provide long-term value. Following the company`s goals, the construction of the second phase of the STOP SHOP Subotica retail park represents a significant step forward in our strategy.
- Upon completion of construction and opening, which is planned for the end of this year, this retail park will become our largest retail park in Serbia, covering more than 15,000 square meters of commercial space. STOP SHOP Subotica is already far more than just a place for shopping. It is a place of gathering and interaction for the population of the city, as well as the entire region and just one example of our contribution to local communities, where we want to facilitate long-term development and improve the quality of life. We are proud of our cooperation with all our partners and are excited about the opportunity to continue living the mission of creating a space in Subotica that will be synonymous with quality, safety and innovation - said Maja Dulc, Country Manager Operations Serbia.
We have witnessed significant changes in the needs and expectations of consumers. New generations are looking for more than just a shopping experience - they`re looking for places that offer content, connectivity and quality.
- That`s why we made an effort to ensure that the combination of tenants in the retail park STOP SHOP Subotica was carefully tailored and adjusted to those expectations. We are proud that in addition to the existing multi-year tenants, we will get new partners at this location in the form of important brands such as: Decathlon, McDonald`s, KFC, Maxi, Kangur, Lilly Drogerie, Planet Bike, Tehnomedia, Yettel and many others - says Dulc.
As she points out, within the company, special importance and commitment are given to the category of sustainability, which is reflected in every project they work on:
- At several STOP SHOP locations, we are developing solar power plants, installing a system of solar panels on the roofs in an effort to provide sustainable energy, and therefore to reduce the ecological footprint. Each new stage of our development follows sustainability standards and contributes to the conservation of resources, which is crucial for the future we are building. Our commitment to environmental initiatives does not stop here. Every retail park has the potential to contribute to environmental conservation, and solar panels are just a step towards a greener future. Through projects like this, we want to become a unique example of a responsible investor, while also motivating our tenants to be part of sustainable solutions together with us. Our goal is to make each retail park self-sustainable, relying on green energy to the greatest extent possible.
Maja Dulc also notes that
CPI Property Group is
constantly looking for new locations and new investment opportunities, both for expanding existing retail parks and for creating new ones in cities where they are not currently present.
Maja Dulc
- Our portfolio currently includes 14 STOP SHOP retail parks in Serbia, in the following cities: Subotica, Sombor, Sabac, Sremska Mitrovica, Vrsac, Belgrade (Borca), Lazarevac, Pozarevac, Smederevo, Cacak, Valjevo, Zajecar, Nis and Leskovac. Although the number of 14 parks is more than impressive, all indicators show that there is still a lot of room to expand our portfolio in Serbia - says Dulc.
She points out that the company`s success is not only business-oriented, where they can really be proud of 100% occupancy of 132,000 m2 of commercial space:
- Our success is reflected in the participation and support of our partners and us in the daily lives of the residents of the cities where we work and create, bringing additional quality into their lives and making it more practical.
